Who We Are:
AES develops hybrid distance courses with participating colleges that incorporate the best elements of current dual credit formats, traditional education, technology and innovative solutions. "+ 2" is a supplemental program that retrofits current class offerings into college branch classes through a unique approach we developed called 'partner education'.
What is a “+ 2” High School?
A "+ 2" High School is an ordinary school that has been transformed into a “Super High School” through our innovative dual credit program. "+ 2" is an entire system that easily retrofits your classes, using your favorite teachers to provide up to 2 years of post graduate studies...right on your own campus...regardless of location or demographics. In essence, your school becomes a hybrid, high school - college campus!
What does this mean for students?
Participating students will be able to earn their high school diploma as well as a fully accredited Associates Degree upon graduation.
How is this funded?
The National Amer-I-Can Education Initiative Grant awards Tuition-Waiver Scholarships that value up to $6,000 to every participating student to take "+ 2" college prep and dual-credit classes.
How much will the “+ 2” program cost and how much will each student save in college tuition?
Students who take advantage of "+ 2" can take as few as one class or complete their entire AA degree. Students who go through the entire program can expect to complete their AA for approximately $2,500 and get a two year head start on their career earnings. With the average cost of State colleges running around $15,000 a year with room and board and private colleges between $30,000-$40,000 per year, students may save as much as $30,000-$80,000 off their total cost of college tuition. Factor in the two year head start on a career with an average entry level salary of $35,000 per year and your child has just pocketed a total savings of anywhere from $100,000- $150,000 just by participating in the “+ 2” advantage!
How do we get started?
"+ 2" is not yet available to the public but we are accepting applications for pre-approval of participating high schools.
